Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) surprises Thai customers by presenting the iconic E-Class, the 10th generation ‘The new E-Class: Launch Edition’ in a special edition to debut in Thailand. Displayed for the first time at the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show (Motor Show 2024), the Launch Edition model is available in limited quantities.

The new E-Class, the iconic brand vehicle that excels in every aspect, from design and cutting-edge technology to exceptional comfort. It comes with the body code W214, highlighting the excellence of the luxurious Business Saloon with a look that’s different from every angle and a larger body size in every dimension to meet all modern needs under the concept ‘EVOLVES WITH YOU.’ Ready to launch in Thailand with two models, offering both the diesel engine ‘E 220 d AMG Line’ and the Plug-in Hybrid power ‘E 350 e AMG Dynamic.

In terms of performance, the 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, 1,993 cc diesel engine powering the E 220 d AMG Line has a maximum output of 197 horsepower at 3,600 rpm and 440 Nm of torque between 1,800 and 2,800 rpm. Its 48V Electrical System (ISG2), which produces 23 horsepower and 205 Nm, combines with a 9-speed automatic transmission (9G-TRONIC) to enable it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds.

Meanwhile, the E 350 e AMG Dynamic combines the power of a plug-in hybrid through a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine. When the engine works together with the entire electric motor system, it delivers a total maximum horsepower of 313 hp and a total maximum torque of 550 Nm, accompanied by a 9G-TRONIC transmission system, capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds.

In terms of energy sources, the E 350 e AMG Dynamic is equipped with a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 25.4 kWh, allowing it to travel more than 100 kilometers on a single full charge according to the WLTP standard. It supports a maximum DC Charge of 55 kWh, taking only 30 minutes to fully charge. The AC Charge supports up to 11 kWh and takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge.

Both models come with an all-around design featuring AMG Bodystyling, which provides the distinctive sporty look of AMG, along with a Soft Close door system.

The E 220 d AMG Line comes with high-performance LED headlights that work in conjunction with the Adaptive Highbeam Assist system for automatic high beam adjustment. It offers convenience with the KEYLESS-GO Comfort Package, which can be controlled digitally via smartphone. The suspension features 19-inch sport-designed alloy wheels, combined with the AGILITY CONTROL suspension system to absorb shocks and provide a smoother ride.

The E 350 e AMG Dynamic stands out with its illuminated grille, equipped with DIGITAL LIGHT headlights and the Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus system, enhancing safety for driving and riding on all roads. It features a panoramic sunroof that slides open and closed electrically, and elevates technology with Heat and Noise-insulating Acoustic Glass that reflects heat, blocks infrared rays, and external noise. It is finished with 20-inch AMG sport-designed alloy wheels that are engineered to reduce air turbulence around the wheel sides, ensuring every drive is filled with aesthetic pleasure and the highest safety standards.

The AMG Interior Package, which is available for both models, highlights sportiness while upholding Mercedes-Benz’s reputation for luxury. A Multifunction Sports Steering wheel gives you directional control and black leather seats add luxury. Featuring the third-generation MBUX operating system and a selfie camera for use in meetings or as extra entertainment. Entire operational needs are met by a 12.3-inch screen in the front passenger area and a special large 14.4-inch MBUX Superscreen installed in the center console area. In addition, the E 350 e AMG Dynamic comes with Digital Vent Control, an air vent system adjusted by electronics to simulate natural airflow within the cabin. It also features a Head-up display technology that allows drivers to see driving information without taking their eyes off the road. Furthermore, it offers the special Burmester 4D Surround Sound System with 21 speakers, integrated with Dolby Atmos technology, providing drivers and passengers with crisp, realistic sound as if they were sitting in a movie theater.
