Kawasaki is stirring excitement among fans with a new experience at the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show.
Kawasaki offers a diverse range of motorcycles, including the latest innovations, presented to Thai riders for a firsthand experience in the ASEAN region.
“Starting with a history of over 100 years, the W lineage and Meguro, dating back to 1924, have been well-known among Japanese riders as motorcycles with large-displacement engines, powerful performance, and high quality. Over the next four decades, the Meguro brand became part of Kawasaki, blending the outstanding motorcycle technology of Meguro with the expertise of Kawasaki Aircraft, resulting in the W1. By the 1960s, when most motorcycles in Japan were small-displacement 125cc models, the massive engine displacement and power of the W1 made it stand out and became the aspiration of Japanese enthusiasts. The Kawasaki W1 gained global recognition as a manufacturer of big bikes, marking the beginning of Kawasaki’s Quest for Speed, leading to the development of many legendary models, including the W series to the present day,” said Mr. Phornchai Tangthanyamat, Sales Manager, reminiscing about the origins of one of Kawasaki’s oldest legends.
The Meguro S1 and W230, classic motorcycles with two models and two styles, retain the full essence of their lineage. They feature round headlights, teardrop-shaped fuel tanks, twin gauge clusters, wire-spoke wheels, or even steel fenders, while still delivering the traditional fun for enthusiasts of classic motorcycles and the thrill of riding. Both models will be available in Thailand in the third quarter of this year.
Similarly, this is a significant time for the evolution of the KLX230, first introduced in 2020, crafted for ultimate off-road fun with a heart pounding engine and a frame designed for novice riders. The KLX230 has been a favorite among fans for several years. Now, in 2024, it’s time for the unveiling of the new KLX230 series, accompanied by upgraded features aimed at enhancing both on-road and off-road performance and convenience.
“Kawasaki is excited to introduce the innovative KLX230 to off-road riding enthusiasts. This model has been developed to enhance performance and convenience, catering to beginners and experienced off-road riders alike. It aligns with our goal of presenting the value and importance of adventure motorcycles that offer versatility to riders of this group,” added Mr. Phornchai Tangthanyamat, Sales Manager.
The new KLX230 will come in Standard and SE models and will be available for sale in Thailand in the third quarter of this year. In line with Kawasaki’s commitment to reducing air pollution, one of the solutions presented by Kawasaki is the Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 electric motorcycles. And now, Kawasaki proudly presents the world’s first hybrid scooter, the Ninja 7 Hybrid.
“We are creating a new product line that combines the power of a robust engine with innovative technology and design that speaks of the future. Every major component is brought into a new dimension. Additionally, we have infused emotions into the features, which are the heart and soul of the Kawasaki brand. This Ninja 7 Hybrid is ready to revolutionize the industry and usher in a new era of motorcycle innovation,” Mr. Phornchai Tangthanyamat, Sales Manager, mentioned about Kawasaki’s hybrid scooter.
In addition to the flagship motorcycle models, Kawasaki also offers a variety of other models to explore, including the Ninja ZX-6R, Ninja ZX-4R, Ninja 400, KLR650 Adventure (Non-ABS), KX250 50th Anniversary, KLX140R F, and Eliminator SE.
